WATER EMERGENCY? 1) Shut the main valve 2) Kill power to the water heater 3) Call (256) 415-7610

Emergency

Three steps first. Then the phone.

In a real emergency, the order matters more than the speed. Do these three things and you've usually stopped the damage from compounding before anyone arrives.

  1. 1.Shut the main water valveWhere the line enters the foundation — round handle or quarter-turn lever. Can't budge it? Shut it at the street meter instead.
  2. 2.Kill power to the water heaterFlip its breaker (electric) or gas valve to OFF. A heater running dry or flooding hides a second emergency inside the first.
  3. 3.Call (256) 415-7610Say 'water's running' first — emergency calls jump the line. Photos of the failing part help us bring the right one.
